This video shows Sister Ursula Anunobi of Abakaliki, Nigeria providing food directly to the hungry on the streets. Many of the people served are elderly, disabled, or abandoned, and suffer from chronic hunger and untreated medical conditions.

In this region, physicians are often willing to provide care, but treatment is nearly impossible without medicines that must be purchased—something many families cannot afford.

Because of this, Sister Ursula frequently begs for funds so she can buy medicines for accident victims, burn victims, amputees, dialysis patients, and others in critical need.

She also begs for food. While many cannot contribute money, they can sometimes spare food, which Sister Ursula then distributes to those who have nothing to eat.

In this video, a young man explains what is happening and asks viewers for assistance so more people can be reached.

The Sisters of the Poor Foundation exists to raise funds for this work. We have no paid staff and no offices. Our only administrative expenses are basic necessities such as website hosting, domain registration, and occasional fundraising materials. Everything else goes directly to Sister Ursula’s ministry among the poor, the hungry, the injured, and the abandoned.
