This is Sister Ursula accompanying a young man in Nigeria who is receiving treatment in the hospital for serious leg injuries.

Sister Ursula serves those who are sick and injured by helping them obtain the medicines, supplies, and proper treatment. Many here cannot afford the required care.

Through God’s grace, Sister begs for what is needed so that the injured may receive healing and dignity.

Her presence in the hospital is a work of mercy: to accompany the suffering, to advocate for the forgotten, and to bring comfort to those who have no one else to stand with them.

We give thanks to God for this ministry and for those who help sustain it.

The Sisters of the Poor Foundation exists solely to support this work.

Luke 10:34–35 “And he went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he set him on his own animal and brought him to an inn and took care of him. And the next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, ‘Take care of him, and whatever more you spend, I will repay you when I come back.’”
